I use Apple Music pretty much exclusively, but ever since I updated to iOS 13, I’ve had a constant issue where Apple Music stops shuffling on my iPhone and Watch randomly while listening to any of my playlists. I’ve updated to the latest iOS and WatchOS a number of times since iOS 13 came live, hoping that the issue would go away, but it still persists. It is inconsistent on the number of songs it will play shuffled before it cancels. I get excited that it’s fixed after 7-10 songs of shuffling and then bam, it’s back to playing in order. One thing that I have tried as an experiment is taking my Apple Watch off and just playing from the iPhone while shuffling and so far I have not had it turn off. I’m running WatchOS 6.1.1 (even tried blowing away and re-pairing my Watch yesterday - still didn’t fix the issue) and iOS 13.3. I found a few other posts from earlier this year, but no resolution on them. Hoping I can get something going with this post... it’s really, really annoying and making me consider other streaming services. To melting your face at raves full of people who dedicate so much time to just mesmerizing people and making them smile. Glovers are some of the kindest people and are so talented! From whips, to tutting, to tunnels – it takes a lot of time, dedication and FINGER STRENGTH to master this flow! Check out our gloves + accessories here!ShufflingThis form of flow is a lot more leg dominant than gloving, however, you can incorporate your gloving and tutting skills to elevate your shuffle flow once you get the hang of your basic running man and figure out which form of shuffling you like the most. There are so many different styles of shuffling, and no style is better than the other – it’s all about expressing to the music the way your body and soul feel called to express.Eternal Sleep OutfitSome shuffle styles include: cutting shapes–which has a lot of little moves like: Miami Step, Scissor Kicks, W-Step and more that don’t really have official names yet but we’re getting there! Others include Melbourne Shuffling, Malaysian Shuffle and so many others however if you truly pay attention, a lot of the moves are different variations of the most basic moves like the T-Step, Charleston and the Running Man. However, it’s not that simple either, and there could be an entire article on the history of each different shuffle style such as the Melbourne Shuffle, Malaysian Shuffle, DNB step, etc. as they are tied many times to different cultures and periods of time. Footwear is also very important, and knowing the right shoe to wear for where you’ll be dancing. Shuffling at a festival like Electric Forest might require different footwear than what you’d need to wear at the raceway for EDC. Here are a few suggestions, although if you’re a newer shuffler – we’d recommend staying away from platforms unless you constantly practice in them! Shuffling in platforms is fun and some platforms actually give you the right amount of bounce depending on where you’re dancing and what your preferred style is!Levitation WandThe Levitation Wand is super fun and very lightweight, although it’s by no means easy to master. Mastering the wand requires a strong and engaged core, arms, legs and tons of practice! Flow arts are one of many facets that create the beautiful, eclectic and expressive rave community that we all know and love and make up a part of. It can be said that we all inspire each other in one way or another – from fashion to flow to music and everything in between– and that all builds upon each other to create a real life tapestry of extremely talented people who are brought together by the love of the music which manifests in all kinds of ways. Everyone expresses themselves in different yet similar ways, which is why there are so many forms of flow out there and perhaps more than we know, and they’re all valid and absolutely needed in this world. Flow arts are not just a way to express from our hearts and souls but they are how energy is able to take a physical form which is a very powerful thing to understand. For example, to many–including myself–the flow arts that I gravitate to and excel at are the ones that heal me the most and where I feel the most connected to the music. When I am shuffling, dancing, whipping or using the staff, I am having a very spiritual experience where I am able to transcend and connect with the energy of, dare I say, the universe. It’s the same feeling as when you lock eyes with a stranger during a drop and just feel that collective energy course through your entire body as you lock hands and start headbanging – and there is nothing more special than that connection at a show or festival. From shuffling or cutting shapes to gloving/tutting to hooping and wands – the magic that is released through the music combined with the movement is something that makes music festivals and raves so unique. Here are a few of our favorite forms of flow!Gloving/TuttingYour hands are quite literally one of the main energy meridian points of your body – this is a very powerful flow art and one that takes a lot of skill and practice to master. Finger tutting is when you make various shapes in intricate and oftentimes choreographed movements with your fingers to go along with the song and the way the song feels to and is expressed by you – it truly is such a beautiful form of flow. There are also entire teams dedicated Key TakeawaysCognitive shuffling is a mental exercise designed to help distract the mind, similar to counting sheep. It may help reduce sleep-related anxiety for some people, but for others, it can cause more stress.Maintaining good sleep hygiene can be more effective for overall sleep quality. TikTok is full of sleep hacks that users say have changed their lives. One of the latest trends gaining traction is “cognitive shuffling.” A doctor on TikTok recently shared a video explaining the technique, describing it as a “simple mental exercise” that improved his sleep. Cognitive shuffling is something of a word game to help distract your mind, which might help you fall asleep, according to Ellen Wermter, FNP, DBSM, a nurse practitioner and behavioral sleep medicine specialist at Better Sleep Council. For some people, this can help reduce the “performance anxiety” about how long it’s going to take to fall asleep, Wermter told Verywell. However, others might find this practice stressful instead. “It becomes a problem when we start to get anxious about it,” Wermter said. If you’ve been having a hard time getting enough rest, cognitive shuffling may be worth a shot—as long as you know when to give it up if it’s keeping you awake rather than putting you to sleep. How Does Cognitive Shuffling Work? There are a variety of “cognitive shuffling” practices, but the most common method is achieved in a few simple steps. Pick a random word, and spell it out in your head. For example, use the word “mask.”VisualizeiPod shuffle - Adding Music to iPod shuffle - ipod-shuffle
The first letter of that word. In this case, that would be “m”.In your head, list all the other words you can think of that start with that letter. In this case, you could list merry, mango, money, Monday, etc.Make lists for all the subsequent letters of your original word. In this case, that would be “a”, “s”, and “k”. Why Might Shuffling Your Thoughts Help With Sleep? Cognitive shuffling mimics what naturally happens in your brain as you fall sleep: The mind shifts through random thoughts, often without your full awareness. “The randomness of thought that starts to happen right before you fall asleep—you know how sometimes you’ll wake up a little and think, What was I thinking about?—you’re mimicking that with the shuffling,” Wermter said. Cognitive shuffling is similar to other techniques—like counting sheep—that don’t require too much brain power. But you might need to practice it a few times to get the hang of it, experts say. And it won’t work for everyone, said Alicia Roth, PhD, a sleep specialist at Cleveland Clinic’s Sleep Disorders Center. “Ultimately, we sleep best when there is little effort. The more ‘sleep effort’ we exert, the more difficult it is to sleep.” she added. “My concern for a method like cognitive shuffling is that for some people, it may add to sleep effort and maybe make things worse.” Cognitive shuffling may also be difficult for those who struggle with visualizing words and spelling them out in their head, such as peopleSHUFFLE DANCE MUSIC 2025 SHUFFLE HOUSE
Shuffling the decks of cards in blackjack is an important part of the game. Blackjack Continuous Shuffling Machines (CSM) are helping dealers ensure the cards are properly shuffled and cut before every hand. Because cards become a lot less predictable if they are all reshuffled before each hand, it becomes crucial for players to devise their own, solid and reliable, blackjack continuous shuffling machine strategy.CSM is the abbreviated term for Continuous Shuffling Machine. What are Continuous Shuffling Machines?Blackjack CSMs are used in most casinos these days in order to circumvent the most basic blackjack strategies. They are beneficial to casino operators in how they prevent card counting, for example, and also for casual blackjack players who don't even know about them. On the other hand, professional players tend to focus on crafting the right blackjack strategy against CSM, or avoid them completely when possible.Continuous Shuffling MachinesContinuous Shuffling Machines (CSM) are combinations of an automatic shuffler and a dealing shoe. When a round of betting is complete, the dealer will scoop out the cards just played already and instead of putting these into a discard tray, he will insert them into the CSM for getting shuffled with the remaining decks of cards.Continuous Shuffling Machines shuffle 3-5 decks of cards together and make card counting almost impossible as it is very difficult to predict which cards are left in the shoe.CSM blackjack was primarily introduced to discourage card counting in casinos.Example of a continuous shuffling machine (CSM) for blackjack.Auto ShufflerAn Auto Shuffler takes all the cards, about 6 to 8 decks, and shuffles them together automatically and with better consistency than a dealer would. After this, the dealer takes the full stack of cards, gets it cut by a player, and puts it into the shoe before dealing. The auto shufflers or random shufflers are safer from a player's perspective. They include all of the cards so, there is no confusion, and the game speeds up as well.Dealer ShoeDealer Shoes can be used in any blackjack game being played with more than 2 decks of cards. Dealer Shoe games are highly susceptible to card counting. The more the number of decks, the lower is the advantage of the game for the player. However, there are other factors such as better rules and more tolerance that increase the odds of winning for a player.House Edge for Blackjack Tables with CSMIn blackjack, the higher the number of decks used, the higher is the house edge percentage. For blackjack tables with CSM, it is like playing with a freshly shuffled shoe each time and that is why; many players want to avoid these tables. Surprisingly though, in CSM blackjack, the more decks used, the better it is for the player because the odds in his favor improve. Accordingly, while a single deck or a 2 deck game leads to a 0.113% and 0.063% reduction in the house edge, a 4 deck and a 6 deck game lead to a 0.028% and 0.020% reduction in the house.
